Medical students and residents performed quite well during the robotic surgery training practices held at the University of Debrecen between October 12 and 16. Throughout the entire week, all the participants had the chance to test the robotic surgery simulation systems and the related VR technology on display at the Learning Centre of our university. The topic of robot-assisted surgery has already been integrated into several subjects within the medical curriculum at the University of Debrecen, while further strengthening of education in this field remains a key objective.

The representatives of the University of Debrecen and Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University have signed a declaration of intent for cooperation containing their joint goals in the launch of research projects, the development of double-degree courses and faculty and student mobility. The Hungarian signatory of the document prepared in the city of Shymkent was UD Rector's representative Károly Pető.
A truly memorable experience for the nearly 22,000 spectators at this year’s stadium show was entrée of the university’s wind ensemble. called Marching Band, as it made its way to the stage from the stands, marching around the arena floor. A White Coat Ceremony was held for the first time at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Debrecen on Saturday. At the end of the ceremony, more than three hundred third-year medical students donned the new white coats that symbolize the transition to preclinical and clinical studies. They also took a symbolic oath, pledging to pursue their studies with dedication and to apply the knowledge gained for the benefit of patients responsibly with empathy and humility.
