It is with great pleasure and pride that I welcome all visitors to our website. Established in 1999, the Division of Clinical Physiology has since grown into one of the University of Debrecen’s leading educational and research units, with a special focus on cardiovascular research. Over the past decades, we have achieved numerous national and international successes, reinforcing our belief in the significant value of our educational and scientific endeavours.
Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to advancing medical science, both through high-quality education and by integrating the latest scientific findings into clinical practice. We place great emphasis on incorporating our research outcomes into our curriculum to ensure that students receive up-to-date knowledge. Our educational activities span undergraduate and postgraduate levels, where students can learn the physiological and pathophysiological foundations of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, as well as cutting-edge diagnostic methods.
For decades, our researchers have been key contributors to the international scientific community in cardiology, as evidenced by numerous prestigious publications, international collaborations, and awards. Our success is partly due to our translational approach, which aims to bridge the gap between clinical and theoretical research. This approach has enabled us to develop new methods that will improve long-term healthcare outcomes.
